Recently, my husband and I celebrated our 33 wedding anniversary. The evening’s meal included cauliflower pizza, followed by an super simple and wonderfully delicious mango frozen yogurt. For entertainment, we watched the fantastic Togo film, and were subsequently compelled to share this brief Togo movie review.
It’s the true story of the 55 pound Alaskan sled dog most responsible for the successful delivery of diphtheria serum to Nome, Alaska, in 1925, against all odds.
Our Togo Movie Review is 5 Stars! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
To cut to the chase, our Togo movie review is FIVE STARS. Four of us saw it (some more than once), and we all highly recommend it. And a box of tissues.
When times get tough, I reflect on such heroism and am bolstered by those who came before and set the examples of what’s possible with focus and dedication.
“If you’re around them [dogs] long enough they tend to get under your skin. And if you’re lucky enough to have known a great one they never really leave, they stay with you as long as you live, harnessed to your heart, giving their all… always.”
~concluding quote from the movie, Togo
We watched Togo via Disney, but there may be other options for viewing, as well as reading, like this profile story on the AKC website.
Togo… a dog, gave it his all, and he never gave up. If he did, then we can too.

For more best dog movies. For lighter fare, here are our favorite chef movies… because, you know… cooks are definitely creators. Beyond the alchemical creation of delectable recipes, there’s also the artistry of creative cooking, food art and food photography!
Speaking of Food
While the food subject on these next few short paragraphs have nothing specifically to do with the Togo movie review, one thing most families share is a proclivity to munch while watching something. Of course most everyone loves popcorn. For that we LOVE our microwave popcorn maker and use it with organic popcorn.
Infact, we own a food blog side hustle that we update whenever we have time. Our latest favorite is the super simple, 3-ingredient mango frozen yogurt. And… while writing this in the middle of summer where our garden harvest of string beans is pouring in, there’s a wonderful green bean casserole… healthy comfort food!
And dogs…. and other creatures…? Well, our dogs love green beans! They also love brussel sprouts, broccoli and cauliflower! For more on what foods dogs can eat and not eat, check out this article on my son’s website.
But more than that, our pets inspire, comfort, and enrich many a creator as we create daily, in art and life!
