In the comments of a recent daily posts in the iCreateDaily for Creators Facebook, Jaymee Thompson said, “I popped over to read the Gary Vaynerchuk quotes and was inspired to write a list of reasons to smile.”
Jaymee went on to say, “So I wrote 30 reasons to smile. Then I noticed that all my reasons to smile are also things to be grateful for…life’s moments.“
Optimistic people lead happier lives.
The Way to a Great Day
Happy people focus on the positives.
What a great way to start the day… today or any day! Purposefully reflecting on things that make us smile, can’t help but elicit a smile for each reflection. Further, each one of those are clearly something for which to be grateful.
Through that practice we can see how simple it is to cultivate a positive attitude of gratitude. Happy people spend more time focused on positives and gratitude.
Our experience of the day redounds to that which we immerse in and generate. What we generate is what we perpetuate in our day and ultimately our life. And that of others.
If we’re having a bad day from anger, frustration and irritation, we’re passing that along to others. But we can turn that around by such a simple exercise, as Jaymee discovered. We can choose to create a different kind of day for ourselves and to share that. Jayme’s sharing that with us, brightened the day of any who read her list, including you, here, now.
And now, you (hopefully) and others will pass this super simple but ultra powerful lesson on to others. Wow! What a lasting legacy to create. And wouldn’t we want to create a legacy of smiles and gratitude over one of resentment, bitterness and complaints?

SMILING IS INFECTIOUS
Smiling is infectious,
you catch it like the flu,
When someone smiled at me today,
I started smiling too.I passed around the corner
and someone saw my grin.
When he smiled, I realized
I’d passed it on to him.I thought about that smile,
then I realized it’s worth.
A single smile, just like mine
could travel ‘round the earth. So, if you feel a smile begin,
~Russel H. Conwell, 1843-1925
don’t leave it undetected.
Let’s start an epidemic quick,
and get the world infected!
